Diversity Workshops

To All Teachers,
Would you like a diversity workshop for your students that will teach them art, poetry, and character building?  If your students are in elementary school (even pre-kindergarten), middle school or high school, we have art and poetry workshops that they’ll enjoy that encourage critical thinking and problem solving skills.  These workshops are sponsored, in part, by the Oklahoma Arts Council.  We also offer seminars on civil rights as well as Holocaust education, relating the past to issues of today such as bullying and prejudice.

If you would like for your students to participate in a diversity workshop, contact

            Joan Korenblit, RDF Executive Director

All classrooms that participate will have an opportunity to enter their collaborative art project in the annual state-wide Respect Diversity Art & Poetry Contest, launched by Civil Rights Leader Clara Luper, Governor Brad Henry. and First Lady Kim Henry. All entries will be showcased in the Respect Diversity Symbol Exhibit at Gaylord-Pickens Oklahoma Heritage Museum from March 21st through May 8th 2008
